greet you in Tanzania and escort you to the hotel for relaxation. Depending on
the arrival time, we may make stops along the way for a city stroll or even a
cultural excursion if desired. You will spend the night in Arusha.
Day Two:
Arusha/Tarangire
Today, we depart early, being collected from
our hotel in Arusha, and head south towards Tarangire National Park. Upon our
arrival before lunchtime, we embark on a safari adventure to explore the
treasures of Tarangire. This park, often underrated yet abundant with wildlife,
boasts a river that remains flowing even in the dry season, attracting large
herds of elephants, buffaloes, Oryx, and various antelopes, providing ample
prey for predators like lions, leopards, and other felines. Additionally, the park
is home to tree-climbing pythons, mongooses, and a diverse array of wildlife,
making it a hidden gem for safari enthusiasts. We spend the night in the Karatu
region.
Day three;
Tarangire/Serengeti
We embark on a journey across the vast
Serengeti plains, famously known as "the endless plain," in pursuit
of giraffes, elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, and the
magnificent wildebeest and zebra migrations, a truly remarkable natural
phenomenon. Our accommodation will be within the National Park.
Spanning northwards to the Masai Mara Reserve
and bordered by Lake Victoria to the west, the Endless Plain stands as
Tanzania's largest and oldest National Park. Alongside its counterpart, the
Masai Mara, it ranks among the continent's finest parks, boasting an expansive
territory teeming with diverse wildlife.
From the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration
to the riveting encounters between predators and prey, the struggle for
survival dominates the savannahs of the Serengeti. It represents nature's most
astounding and captivating wildlife spectacle. Our safari adventures will be at
their peak during the early morning and late afternoon hours when the animals
emerge to forage for food.
Day Four: Serengeti
National Park
Named by the Masai people as the
"Limitless Plain," Serengeti Park is Tanzania's oldest and most
famous wildlife reserve. Its influence extends beyond its borders, including
neighboring areas like Ngorongoro and Kenya's Masai Mara. Its fame comes from
hosting the Great Migration each year, where over a million wildebeests brave
dangers and hardships in search of fresh pastures. Here we shall spend our time on game drives or optional sunrise balloon
safaris.
Day Five;
Serengeti/NgoroNgoro
We bid farewell to the vast Serengeti plains
with a final safari before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here,
we'll descend into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, which boasts a unique
ecosystem housing the highest concentration of wildlife on the African
continent. Continuing our journey, we'll make our way to the town of Mto Wa
Mbu.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro Crater stands as one of the
largest extinct volcanic calderas globally, offering diverse ecosystems,
including forests, savannahs, and two lakes - one saline and the other
freshwater. With walls towering over 600 meters high and a diameter of 20
square kilometers, this natural wonder is often referred to as "Noah's
ark" due to its remarkable biodiversity. Descending into the caldera in
our 4x4 vehicles, we'll encounter a wide array of wildlife, from rhinos and
lions to ostriches and flamingos. The breathtaking landscape of this area never
fails to leave visitors in awe. Our camping experience within the Ngorongoro
Conservation Area, situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters amidst lush jungle
surroundings, offers a chance to immerse ourselves in nature and encounter a
diverse range of fauna.
Day Six; Lake Eyasi
Arusha
On this day, we'll rise early to journey
towards the Lake Eyasi region, characterized by its small saltwater lake
nestled within a semi-arid landscape. This area serves as the habitat for
indigenous tribes like the Bushmen and the Datoga. Our expedition will focus on
locating the Bushmen, the sole descendants capable of recounting our ancient
heritage. Engaging with them, we'll participate in their hunting rituals and
gain insights into their daily lives and traditions.
Furthermore, our exploration of the Lake
Eyasi vicinity will include a visit to the Datoga tribe, known for their
reliance on livestock and agriculture, as well as their expertise in
blacksmithing. Following a picnic lunch, we'll journey back to the city of
Arusha and transfer to our accommodation.
Day Seven; Departure
